Confined Space Entry
Confined spaces can be found in almost any workplace and come in all shapes and sizes from tunnels, cold storage, tanks and manholes to silos, ship-holds, utility vaults, even trenches under certain conditions.

Employers are required to evaluate a space to determine if it meets the definition of a “confined space”.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Define a confined space
  • Outline the elements of a confined space program (hazard assessment, entry plan and entry permit)
  • Identify hazards, controls and rescue requirements
  • Explain the responsibilities of work place parties
  • List the requirements for documentation
